Bryanna Harmon initiated the Help for Heroes drive which allowed people to donate items that will be mailed to soldiers overseas! Many people contributed by donating either non-food items or non-perishable food items at certain locations a drop-off box for donations!
October being Diaper Awareness month, Diego Robbins had joined the Texas Diaper Bank campaign to raise one million diapers. With the help of a fellow SOS members, Diana Esparza, they worked to get things ready for the drive by making posters and collection jars and getting everyone involved in such a great cause. At the end, he collected 3,153 diapers and $701.27 dollars! What an amazing turnout! Desiree De La Cruz and Jesus Flores from Thomas Jefferson HS organized an entire benefit concert to help the diaper drive! Due to their amazing efforts, Diego, Desiree and Jesus were all invited to be special guests at the Benefit Gala for the Diaper Bank.
On behalf of the Texas Diaper Bank, a couple of SOS members volunteered at the Almouie Pediatrics Outreach Event on October 3rd!
Once again, SOS volunteered at the Texas Diaper Bank to package diapers on October 17th! Great work!
SOSers volunteered at Lee High School/STEM to beautify the campus and create a STEM garden. More than 30 volunteers worked hard to dig out old dead plants, carry away garbage and plant new flowers. The garden looks great!
A wonderful experience for SOS this August! Our SOSers had the opportunity to visit Greece and Italy! They visited many historical sites and had the adventure of a lifetime! Don’t miss out and travel with us next time!
On July 18th, SOS had an amazing opportunity to work with a local foster care organization called Helping Hands Ministry. SOS decorated and created Sweet Case Bags that contained some goodies for children in our community.

On June 19th, SOS attended the “Walk in U.S., Talk on Japan” event organized by the Japanese government. SOSers had the opportunity to hear former Mayor Henry Cisneros, former Ambassador Yasuo Saito and several other guests to speak about U.S.-Japan relations.
On June 20th, 30 SOSers worked incredibly hard to help out at the Texas Diaper Bank!
